While Amazon delivery and logistics experiments are nothing new, the announcement Friday that its own fleet of Amazon Prime Trailers will be criss-crossing the country resonates with us a little more than usual because their trailer fleet will have trailer side skirts!
This purchase and deployment currently applies only to trailers with Amazon continuing to use third-party trucking company tractors to pull them. The company apparently isn’t quite ready to become a trucking company which brings with it extensive regulation, cost, and liability.
